The waste air pipelines shall be air-tight.To avoid odor distribution it is necessary that the exhaust air pipelines are under under-pressure.In addition,horizontal pipelines shall be as short as possible and installed at slope.Suitable condensate collection vessels shall be provided at the lowest points.Exhaust air pipelines in particularly cold zones of the building shall be protected against condensate development and provided with a thermal insulation.
In order to avoid odor development in neighboring recreation rooms,exhaust air shall be passed into the free air flow at a suitable point vertically over the roof.Galvanized deflector hoods shall be used for this purpose or hoods in the colour of the client.The hoods shall be placed on 30 cm high bases.Intake of outside air shall be at least 3 m on top of the ground level in order to avoid intake of dust and other noxious matter together with the outside air.The intake opening shall be provided with a weather protection grille – anodised aluminium -,or in colour at the discretion of the client.The grille shall be designed such that rain and snow are prevented from entering.A galvanised grille with a wire mesh of 10 mm is to be used as protection against bugs.
The exhaust air ventilators shall be provided with an approval for the application.The motors shall be protected from overheating and provided with an own fresh air supply in any case which is separated from the exhaust air.
