Some people believe that the shortage of fossil fuels will lead to the replacement of alternative energy like solar system and wind.To what extent do you agree or disagree?
As the environmental problems on this planet become increasingly serious,finding the replacement for traditional fossil fuels has been discussed for quite a long time,and therefore alternative energy such as solar or wind is being seeing as most hopeful area recently.However,whether alternative energy will take the place of fossil fuels is still debatable.
There are numbers of shortages of fossil fuels we can list,but two of them are mainly concerned by the public.First,the pollution.As we all know,the burning of fossil fuels produces a large quantity of waste substances which can be harmful to our eco-system.Greenhouse effect and climate change are well-known consequences of using fossil fuels.Another shortage of fossil fuels is that the total amount of them is limited,which means we will run out of them one day.Obviously,to protect our environment and convert the way of development into a sustainable pattern,effective measures must be taken towards the using of fossil fuels,and to use other kinds of energy can be the solution that people come up with first.
Indeed,by replacing fossil fuels with solar systems or wind energy,the difficulties in traditional situations can be overcome.New energy can support industry with much lower level of pollution,and what’s more important is that these energy resources are renewable.Additionally,society can benefit from the employment opportunities brought about by developing alternative energy and the relevant facilities.
Nevertheless,new technologies needed to support the use of new energy are still in the process of developing,and the transforming in industrial operation takes a long time.So I believe that the use of fossil fuels will be inevitably decreasing in the future,but to replace them completely,we still have a long way to go.
