英语分数表达问题

为什么上面一句话分数用连字符而下面不用?

这两种都是英语的表达方式.用连字符号的时候,后面的单词是单数形式,one-fifith two-fifth
当没有连字符号的时候,后面的单词在遇见多份的时候,是需要复数形式加s的,one third,two thirds
