show既可用作及物动词,又可用作不及物动词,还可以用作名词,有多种含义.
1.意为“给……看；出示；显示”.show sb.sth.=show sth.to sb.
如：
Please show your new watch to me.
Will you kindly show me that coat over there?请把那儿的上衣拿给我看看好吗?
Show me your tickets,please.= Show your tickets to me,please.请出示车票.
注意在“show+间接宾语+直接宾语”结构中,若直接宾语为指物的代词it或them时,只能用“show it(them) to sb”结构.如：
误：You have a new pen,please show me it.
正：You have a new pen,please show it to me.
