而这个句子 Occupy my wife with shopping while i am going to adderess a meeting.为什么occupy不用ing形式?毕竟他和后面的动词是同时进行的啊?

Devotedto the homeland 做的是old scientist 的前置定语,非谓语动词（过去分词）.
占据(人心、注意力等),使全神贯注；使忙碌；使从事：
Occupy my wife with shopping while I'm going to address the

在我出席会议发表讲话时,请让我的妻子去购物吧.
occupy当然不是和后面的动词同时进行的,因为这是个祈使句,所以省略了主语you,就像sit down一样,直接是动词occupy
