The history of clocks is very long,and there are many different types of clocks.In the 14th century people first used the word clock.It comes from the word bell in latin(“clocca”).

When the sun is overhead in the sky,it is the middle of the day,or noon.When the sun is close to the ground,it is either early morning or evening.

Water clocks were invented in Egypt.The first clock with a minute hand was invented by Jost Burgi in 1577.
