Today I want to talk about something which the Italians like to eat best,that is macaroni.Macaroni is an Italian food and it is also very popular all round the world.The Italians like them as the same way we like rice.In Italy,one single Italian eats 28 kilograms of macaroni every year.
Now experts have different ideas about the history of the macaroni.Some believe that the great explorer,Marco polo had taken them from China to Italy.But more experts are sure that Etruscans,who at that time,had once been the residents of Northern Italy,had begun to make macaroni early in the 7th century.For large wooden tables which were surely used to mix flour and cookers that were considered as cooking macaronis were found in the Etruscan ruins.Those are the best evidence to prove the inventors of the macaroni were Italians.
Today,people always cook the macaroni with ketchup,cheese,pepper,mushrooms,etc.These prove the fact that we have made a great many progress in cooking the macaroni.Macaroni also has its large family.Zita,Ennie,Lasagne,Orzo Route,Capellini… Macaroni has reached over 500 kinds and we have already had 2000 ways to cook the food.We will never have the chance to taste most of them.So if you plan to have some macaroni for Today’s dinner,try to cook it in a different way.I wish you can have a good appetite.
